Looking to buy a new 6.0L. currently have a 7.3 in the process of selling. my only concern is the 6.0 gonna have the power my 7.3 has? is it gonna last me as long? i have 170000 not many problems. what should i be looking at in the 6.0??

looking for a 06-07 with under 20-15000 miles. lariat crew cab. really want a outlaw or harley davidson edi. how much should i be willing to pay? i dont want to get overcharged.

 

your gona be forking outa 40 to 45 grand and the 6.0 has more power than your 7.3 if you get a lemon your gona have alot of problems out of it if you get a good one jus as strong as the 7.3 jus gota watch out for the head bolts streaching but only if you run a high performance chip

Get the Oasis report, but the 6.0 is a great truck. I have loved them. Looking to get rid of my 2006 6.0 KR, for around 37,000 if your looking.

 

We really need more info to help you with prices. 4x4, Crew Cab, Moonroof, other options? But I would say anywhere from $30-40,000 since you are looking at used trucks.

As far as avoiding a lemon, your chances are pretty good with an 06-07 truck. Once you find one you are interested in post the VIN number in the OASIS request thread at the top of this forum. One of our members wil run the OASIS and email it to you. The OASIS report shows all work that was done on the truck at a Ford dealership (assuming they input the information, which they are supposed to). If you find a truck that has very few items on the report it should be a good one. If it has already been in numerous times, post on here with the items that it had done and we can let you know how common/serious they are.

 

people say alot about the 03 bein junk i have 80k on mine with runnin the crap outa it every day on a race tuned sct and never had a problem my brother has had an 04 05 and 06 and all of them has gave him nuttin but problems and he even left them stock

 

Strokin97, can you be more specific about nothing but problems? Did he have problems with other trucks before, and if they are nothing but problems, why does he keep buying them?

the truck i want is 06-07 charcol gray crewcab 4X4 6 or 8' bed perfer the 8. lariat. 250 or 350 which ever i find. also grey or black interior with sunroof and roof lights and bucket seats in front. or the harley davidson or outlaw editions fully loaded. again used with less then 25000 miles on them. PRICE????

I would guess $35-40,000. I am also going to say that you are probably going to have a hard time finding what you want. Most guys don't buy a fully loaded truck to drive it for a year and get rid of it. Be prepared to travel to get one.

 

What's the Outlaw edition? I've never heard of it...


and the 6.0 has a lot more power than a 7.3...

Black Super Duty Crew Cab with red trim. Red and black leather interior, and some other different interior parts (brushed aluminum dash is pretty cool). Do a google search for Lariat Outlaw and you should find some pics.

 

The outlaw trucks are sweet, I'd give mine up in a heartbeat for one of those....
