clutch starting switch
I have a 97 F250 5 speed. I have to push the clutch in before it will start and when my wife drives it she has problems starting it because she has to push it so far to get it to start. is there any way to unplug or bypass this push to start feature.

On my 1990 bronco (with masda M5OD manual transmission) I installed a remote starter. Of corse I didn't want to have to be there to push the clutch in every time I wanted to use the remote start. I found the switch on the clutch and bypassed it by soldering the wires together. This worked fine but the truck would also start in gear and drive away if I was forgetful (only happened once).
In your case I would find the clutch switch and ad a tempory bypass switch to the dashboard. You want a spring loaded switch that you have to keep your finger on while you turn the key.

yah move the seat up so she can compress the pedel all the way, i used a jumper wire on my 87 mustang so i didnt have to push the pedel in, you will have to locate the 2 connectors goin to the pedel and jump them with a wire

I agree with having her move the seat up. If she can't get the pedal in far enough for the switch then she's probably riding the friction point or likely to grind gears while shifting. My wife's 5'3" and she move the seat so far forward I can't even get in unless I move the seat back, but she has no problem driving or starting the truck.
