I have a friend who has something to read codes on his diesel truck. wanted to know if one will work for for any truck dont what kind or what type of truck just asking becouse it is a little way to drive.
What truck does your friend have? Most scan tools don't do well with Superduty's. Folks around here swear by the Auto Engenuity scanners. They do work on our trucks.
i went over to pick up the tuner and it was a super chip max micro tuner for 94- 03 psd 7.3L So i got lucky and was able to pull the codes saved me $180 at dealership i will be buying one soon
Most people here, if they are getting a chip, get a DP-Tuner. It is custom programed for your truck.
The Auto Enginuity is a very nice unit, and will read all of the PSD codes if you buy the enhanced powertrain package. You need this package, because PSD's do NOT fall under the requirements of the OBD-II federal law. That is why the "cheapie" scanners do not read our trucks.
