Cab light

I have an 04 E350,2 weeks after buying it new, what ever controls the cab light quit working and i have to turn it off manually. The rear overhead light had to be disconnected to turn it off.
Ford dealer couldnt find a problem and blamed it on me(?). Never went back after several excuses why they could't repair things(fed up)
Is there a relay or computer that opperates the timer on the light.

if its the same as my 96 there is
a timer switch inside the trim panel about
10 inches behind the driver seat
there is a 4" square box behind the panel screwed
to the wall
