howdy
I have had a love of Fords as long as I can remember which isn't uncommon for growing up in a "Ford" household. My first truck was a 1949 ford F-1 with a 460/C6 and it was FAST
, unfortunatly a few years ago some yahoo felt it was unnecessary to look before backing his 1 ton flat bed shop truck into on comming traffic
(but hey at least he was driving a ford). My passion is hunting.....namely predator hunting which is the insperation for my new project, I am planning a 1950 F-1 for a replacement. I want to make it 4x4. Not some big flashy show truck that will never make it off road and not some designated mud slinger of rock crawler. I want a very usable rig with a moderate lift and probably 33" tires. It will be driven on and off road often.
So this quest has lead me here to ask questions and learn as much as I can.
Thanks,
Mr.T

You will find that there is a ton of info here for your project and the site offers a classified section where you can find that F-1. Click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll over the boards to pickup information and also checkout the other blue tabs at the top to see what else we have to offer. Since your in OK be sure and checkout the for sale/wanted posting there to. Here it is: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum92/
