I have been looking for some rims and tires for my 89 F150 2wd.

There 5 on 5.5" So are the Dodge rims. Do they work? Anyone done this? I have steal rims now so anything is an improvement. I like older F150 or bronco aluminum rims but I'm having trouble finding them locally and there is two people with dodge rims locally on craigs list. One set off a 1997 and one off a 2003.

Yes, That's what I've been told. I've never done it. Get a few more responses to be sure.

 

They said you might need to watch the backspacing on some.......other than that........they'll fit

They fit but have more back spacing. Any I have seen 92 up new style dodge rims that used on a ford have had spacers because the tire now sit further in wheel well. But from 92 down they are about same. I don't like any of rims dodge has had so I have not tried to see how look my self . Good luck

 

Im running 16" Dodge rims on my 89 4x4 and they rub the radius arms with 11.5 tires when turning sharp the back spaceing is different I also had them on an 85 same results

 

Whatch out for mid 80s 1/2 ton dodges. I had one, 84 or 85 I think and the wheels were bent bad so I orderd new white spokes and tires without checking the bolt pattern, they werent 5x5.5. My stupid mistake.
