I have the stock 17" on my 06 psd. Wife tows GN horse trailer (~8000 lbs) 2-3 times a week and I tow the open racecar trailer (~6000lbs) once a month. I also use it as a daily driver which is 75 miles each day, mainly highway.
I check the pressures and they are approximately 54 psi hot. I have read on here that some guys are running with 70 psi which I would assume is for heavy towing. What is a good average PSI to run? I do not want to change everytime I tow.
You should always run the pressure on the decal on the dor jam. Yeah it may ride a little softer with lower pressure, but it seem like the poeple who run lower pressure are the ones complaining about there tires not lasting very long. I always run 80psi all around and my BFG AT's last for 75k to 90k period. People don't beleive me, but they do!
hmm, I checked the door sticker before and for some reason I thought that was for max. load, I guess not. It states 75 psi btw. I guess I will be getting some air over lunch
