Auto Enginuity Help

OK I finally got around to reading my Auto Enginuity book. I still have no clue what I should be looking for when I go to use it. I know I can see any trouble codes but what els should I look for heck what numbers should I see and so on. If anyone can give me a run down of this tool that would be great.

Thanks
Russ

a good repair manual gives you the ## your looking for as far as specs go's.. it also tells you what test to run..Amiller has done some right ups on how to perform test on a few things here http://www.7point3.com/AETips/AllDocs.aspx

this link can be found in my sig as road side help network..also in the fellow FTE supporter's sig's as 7point3.com..just click on it and it will be listed to the right..

I believe Dennis also has an AE forum on his ITP site, that might provide some assistance.

Do a buzz test and velocity test. Then look into Alan's health check post on the site Ron pointed out. From there, have fun with it and log things. Interesting stuff to watch is Injector pressure and duty cycle, IAT and MAT temps, MAP which is always lower and slower than gauge pressure. You can also log TC slip comparing actual from desired etc etc etc.
