Cool Help Wiper motor question

I have an @003 F250 SD , went to a car wash today(water ban in GA) & the drivers side wiper got stripped. Do I have too buy a new motor? The dealer says i need to, The arm is ok, but the round cerrated silver thing that the arm clips to is twirling around. Any ideas will be appreciated

Took it apart last nite, its a non servicable item, what a waste. I ground down the punch marks holding the round, knurled aluminum piece. It slipped off. I drilled a small hole in the notch that holds the wiper arm key in place. Tapped it, slipped it onto the shaft & then drilled a hole into the wiper motor shaft. Put a set screw in it & its good to go. Total repair time 10 minutes. No cowl removal or new motor/transmission replacement needed

Sounds like an interesting fix. You should post some pictures so people understand it better, and can use it in the future.

Good job.
