6.0 compared to duramax
I had a chance to check out a 08 duramax yesterday. One of my friends has a new one and I helped him change his oil yesterday. I have to say my 6.0 is a lot more user friendly. The fuel filter is hard to get to. It is a Z71 and the transmission skid plate is verry low. The truck is hard to get under. The front drive shaft is small. I didn't see much heavy duty about it. The intercooler also looked about half the size of mine.
I'll take my Ford over the chevy anyday. I'm glad I chose a POWER STROKE.
It was nice to check out the competition.
It only holds 10 quarts of oil also. Thought I would pass on a little info.

Yeah, I can agree with you on that. My old boss has an 04 duramax dually, and that truck is really had to get under, and the front end doesn't seem to be built as tough. But then agian, those dmaxs are holding up well in competitions without tearing the front end up to much. He used to complain to on how hard it was to change the fuel filters as well, he misses his old powerstroke when it came to maintenance.

Powerwise. My 06 is more powerful then my bosses 04. I know theres 2 yrs differance there, but thats the best I can do. I raced him from a dead stop then beat him by about 2 truck lenths then we both hooked up to two of his similar 10k lbs box trailers and I beat him agian by about a truck lenth.
