installation- sealing cooling system
as I prev reported i put my semi hipo 400 in and ended up with water in the oil...
So I just finished putting the oz heads back on after cleaning and LIGHTLY reworking surfaces with a long, mild bstard file. Re-lapped all the valves- was done by machine shop and they missed a couple-three.
Anyway, I've got the radiator on and system filled- did a quick test with the radiator pressure tester at 5ps- no coolant to speak on and it was ok.
Now it's up to 10psi (max that I'll go) with coolant and setting.... no oil in it and I'll check for coolant in the pan.
The ? is what is the expectation when testin the system as far as time it should maintain the pressure...obviously the main issue will be coolant in the pan which, at this point would likely mean cracked block...as i teste the heads when they were off....no pressure though.
