Thanks on power window thread...
Daughter came home Thursday evening in our '95 Explorer Sport, driver side power window down, wouldn't go up. Pulled out the Haynes manual, it was very little help, but I tried all the basic stuff, ran appropriate tests, and diagnosed motor failure. Took the door apart and... And stood there staring at the darned thing wondering how in the world does the motor come out?!? WAIT! LET ME CHECK ON THE FTE WEBSITE! Did a quick search, found a marvelous post, with pictures no less, that showed how/where to drill a hole and then remove the bolts. OH MY GOSH, IT WAS SO EASY WITH THE RIGHT INFORMATION! Ran to the parts store (got there 15 minutes before it closed), bought the motor ($79 new), installed it, tested, then reassembled the door.
Bottom line, daughter was able to drive it the next morning thanks to FTE!
I've actually added a lot of value through the years, just mostly in the Aerostar and Full Size Van forums. The Explorer was a fairly recent replacement for a beloved A-star, so I don't have a lot give in this realm just yet...
