I want to thank evryone for your help on my intermittent dying issue. I went to the deer lease yesterday and was shocked at how much smoother and quiter the engine ran and how much less the fuel guage moved.
My cure...want to guess what fixed it?
Ground near battery
Ignition module
Distrubutor hall effect sensor
MSD Blaster coil
9 mm Ford Racing wires
All of the above
I think it was the poor ground, but the new parts won't hurt anything now that I have them.
A suggestion, even if yours does not die intermittently, my negative battery cable has a ground wire going to the fender. Check the connection there to the other wires. Reducing ground "noise" is important, per one reply even though I don't know what it means. Maybe the computers like it...I do.
