Site running weird

Is this site running real funky today, or is it just my end of the world?
From 13:20-17:30 I couldn't even get on. Cleared my cookies and got here, but it still not right.

It was bad for me as well. Can't expect it to work all the time!

It's been pretty hit-and-miss for me today, also.

No its been bad all day for me also. Especially tonight, seems like it takes over 45 seconds to refresh a page or go to a new page.

Must be related to the change over to the new servers. Did you all notice the post about the search being turned off. The poster is not one of the admins we all know and adore.

Every major change with a website means that EVERYTHING has got to be debugged and tweaked back out. Anyone remember the last time KP upgraded the servers?

This is more of the same.

I am probably overstepping myself with my statements here, and they are educated guesses based on some years of experience watching FTE grow from when I came into it. I doubt KP will slap me for it though, and I hope I saved some explanations being wrote out here. No two servers are just the same, and all of the files have to be found and PUT where they can all work right. Some things have to be gone into and new addresses fixed so that things don't try to look for themselves on the old servers, etc....

You get the idea. It's a major undertaking, but so far from what I've seen it's being really smoothly done!

I'm just tellin' it like I see it.
(And we've seen this before, haven't we?)

I'd rather tune a PORSCHE than a website, I swear... That's why I don't do personal websites anymore.

Well after that through explanation, I can fully understand the dramas of switching out servers.

I'd rather drive a Porsche , if I could fit in one, than tune a website .

Hey, I just jumped in because it looked like a cool place to drain a brew. I have NO clue about it....

Beside, listening to Van Halen very loud and thinking back causes wierd things to associate in yer clyde.

But I remember when webwriting was my big deal, since I had nothing else to do.
