I just purchased a 1990 F150 with an AOD tranny and a 5.0 v8. The truck has a very nasty shake when in park.
I replaced the 2 motor mounts and the tranny mount(they were all bad). Still shakes--
I replaced the flex plate with a new one(50 oz.) and the torque converter. STILL SHAKING!
I had already-- of course replaced the harmonic balancer.
I can only suppose someone went into this motor at some point and now its out of balance. Any ideas?
This shake has two very experienced ford friends of mine stumped.
If I have to pull this motor how expensive is it to take it to a engine machine shop and get the crank checked?

Have you checked anything in the ignition system to make sure all cylinders are firing and firing correctly. Wires could be crossed, not routed correctly, plugs could be fouled, timing could be off, etc. Theres lots of possibilities up there too...
Whens the last time it got a tune-up? Plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor. Have you checked the codes? Checked fuel pressure? How does it perform when you're not idling in park?
