Mutifunction Switch

Does the Mutifunction switch have anything to do with starting. I am have a problem starting after truck sets for 36 -48 hours. When I try to start the #2 relay in engine compartment chatters and wait to start light, check engine light and overdrive off light flashes. All this happens when switch is turned on not while tring to start. After a while turn switch on and everything cycles as it should and truck starts.

I've not had a MF switch do that, but it sound more like an ignition switch. What vehicle? How many miles ect ect?

'96 F350 CC 170,000 Miles. Just replaced IDM and UVCH all 4 and VCG.

It might be the relay itself is begining to fail .

I swapped relay with horn relay same problem. I may get new one anyway just to be sure.
