I have 4.9/300 motor and my brother was helping me change the spark plugs I went to my tool box to get my tools and when I came back He pull off all the spark plug cables from the distributor cap and the spark plugs. Any suggestions will help? beside hitting my little brother with a wrench.
I guess your brother just had a lesson that he will remember. Nothing like experience to drive home a lesson.
There'll be a diagram in your Chilton or Haynes manual showing the firing order and numbering the distributor. Actually the #1 should be on the dist cap and then if you know which directin it rotates they will fire around the circle, so you just put the plug wired in firing order on the cap. But i don't know if clock or counter clock rotation. Manual should tell.
What is the firing order for a 1991 Ford 4.9L 6 cylinder?
Answer: 153624 clockwise distributor rotation
That is a ligitimate inline six firing order anyway because they all alternate between front three cylinders and back three cylinders, which is nice for the EFI split manifold because you never have exhaust back pressure in same manifold two times in immediate row.
