Ceramic Brake Pads

Has anyone tried the ceramic brake pads that can be purchased for our rigs?

If so, how did they work for you?

the pads last along time but the ceramic compound eats your rotors.. so the bad part about the lasting pad is the rotors will need to be replaced more often. personally i will deal with brake dust since rotors cost more then pads..

I put a set of ceramics from napa on my rig and like the no brake dust. I did not know they ate rotors untill after I put them on!! My original front pads lasted 70k miles and I hope these last at least that long.
Ron I did not use any special break-in procedure, how should they be broken in?

Thanx guys.

As far as performance, did the ceramic pads produce stronger a stronger breaking affect?
