Alternator Conversion

I'm in the process of replacing the generator/regulator with a delco 10si alternator, a two wire alternator. I hate changing it from original, but it will soon become a daily driver and the two wire operation is just too simple to pass up.

Have any of you ever done such a swap?

I'm going to fabricate a new upper and lower bracket. I've looked at the universal online brackets, but they all look like a chicken wearing socks! I'm sure the stock bracket can be slightly modified to accomodate the alternator, but if someone has already been down that road, maybe you could shed some light.
