If your truck is still within the 5/100K warranty then it is covered by the Emissions warranty and the dealer will do it for no charge.

If you are outside of the warranty then you can do it yourself, here is the link on how to do it.

Yea, what blackhat said. It might cost you $100 depending on your state and mileage. So while I might be able to do it, I would not do it to save $100.

No offense intended, after all this is your first post, but your poll is not very useful to the forum. Without knowing something about your mechanical skills and experience there is no way we can advise you on this.

Meanwhile, welcome to FTE.

not exactly, it is covered by the 5/100k diesel waranty and over 3/36 will have a customer co-pay of $100. sometimes when we inspect them for cleaning they are to badly rusted and will require replacement.

Well from page 13,14&19 of the Warranty manual, the turbo Charger is covered under the Emissions warranty, so the owner is Not supposed to pay for any items repaired that are covered by the Emissions warranty.

On 2003 & 2004 MY SD the Emissions warranty for Non-CA emissions vehicles is 5/50K and for CA emissions vehicles it is 7/70K

Starting with the 2005 MY SD the emissions warranty for Non-CA emissions vehicles is 5/100K and for CA emissions vehicles it is 7/70K.

Any work that falls under the emissions warranty is done with No cost to the owner of the truck as outlined on page 7 of the warranty manual.
"NOTE: Some components may also be covered by the Emissions Warranties,
with no deductible. For more information, see pages 11-24."

Hope this helps clear up the confusion of what is covered under the Emissions warranty and for how long.

Does this note mean the emissions warranty HAS a deductible?
