Charging Problem

I had a problem with my truck not starting and replaced the batteries and drove it around three days later the batteries were so dead the power locks wouldn't even open. Suspected the alternator was bad because I was only getting 12.5 volts at my batteries. Took the alternator off and to a shop and they tested it and said it was good. Any suggestions from anyone.

I had the same issue, but it was the alternator..

Try testing your alternator yourself with a voltmeter..

Sounds like the alternator is good but not getting a signal to charge.

mabe check the plug that clips in the alternator...might b a bad connection ..i had that problem and it was the plug
