Leveling kits

I'm the newbie so sorry if I ask questions that have already been hashed over.

I recently aquired an 02' F250 crew cab SWB SD and want to ad a leveling kit.
How much does the front end need to come up to be level?
and what is the best product and best price for a do it youselfer?

2.5" to level and then with a little luck you can put 35's on. I used a Rubicon Extreme kit works well, spring/ shackle hangers, new pitman arm, u-bolt flip, steering stabilizer relocater and new shocks front and rear. I would go with repacement springs next time, the ride still sucks.

No problem.. I'm amazed that no one else here has chimed in. Normally they/we just don't know when to quit.

With a 250, it should be damn near level, it isn't? You can add an add-a-leaf if you are carrying a plow or something and want to add capacity, or a new soft-ride leaf pack with 5 leaves will work too. Look on ebay there are kits, from Rough Country and the left spring sagged over 1.5" in 18 months so i did it again this time with Dick Cepek springs and its been good since april. You will need new shocks for the front, but that's it. Maybe recenter the steering wheel using the adjustment collar on the drag link.

Hey Steve, definitely do a spring kit when you do a FT leveling kit. The reason being is that our stock springs are suffering from fatigue after years of supporting the 1000-lb Powerstroke motors that are in our trucks. They start to sagg with-in acouple of years. So this is why its never a good idea to do a Hanger/Shackle replacement type levleing kit. When you do the Spring Leveling kit make sure it comes with new shocks too, as your factory shocks are worn as well. You'll end up with alittle bit stiffer of a ride, but it will overwhelm you at how well your truck will handle over the stock setup. Take care and I hope this helps yah out. country

Typically, for an F250, 1.5 inches will level. If you go with a 2.5 inch levelling kit, you'll most likely need to add some bigger blocks to the rear to keep from being nose high. I did a 2.5 inch kit with the bigger blocks from a SRW F350 and I am about .5 inches lower in the front than in the rear. I love the way it looks and the bed is still useable (as opposed to the bigger lifts). Enough clearance for 35" tires if you want to run them. My kit is the Rubicon Express kit (hanger and shackles). I know that according to some people it isnt the preferred. Just remember that everyone thinks that what they have is the best. I am extremely happy with my kit and my truck. Good quality components and a complete kit, not just a pair of springs.

I have never heard that before. To my knowledge there is no difference in the front ends between an F250 and an F350. But I have been known to make mistakes.
