Glow plug control unit-no start?
'91 7.3 F350 dually, '94 reman engine. Yesterday, I thought I had a fuel problem-today not so sure! O.K., I did a lamp test on each plug and found one dead, which I replaced. Today, I did the Haynes manual control unit tests: Ground o.k., supply voltage-o.k., ignition terminal to grnd-o.k., Lamp test off the test terminal produced no light, nada (which should come on for 7-15 seconds, based on temp). NAPA has a replacement for $200, thought I'd check here first. The truck had become harder and harder to start cold, once warmed up no problem. Last 2 days, I replaced the fuel pump (lift pump), filter. After that, no start. Charged batteries overnite, cranked several times-nothing, gave it a tiny shot of ether ( I hate to do that, but....), immediate start not a miss runs like a champ. I might add, this morning's second try, had wife turn on the ignition and I waited a little and thought I should feel some warmth/heat on the plugs, but they were stone cold! Got any ideas before I spend $200! Thanks, Bill

WTS light is operated by the WTS module and is on fuse #17 in the cab fuse box.. check the connection also....... You must have a VERY good ground on the engine for the controller.
