Door Tag

O.k. Door Tag says Trany is a T = 4 speed auto

however the truck has the Overdrive position on the shifter.

Am I missing something here?

Is it a 4 speed or 5 speed? Some of the 4 speeds did have overdrive.

My 95 F150 has a 4 spd auto with an overdrive, and T in the vin code. I've also seen an 86 F150 with a 4 spd auto with an overdrive. If its the original tranny, it should be an overdrive. Some of the newer ones, like my 95 have Ford overdrive embossed into the bottom of the tranny oil pan.

I don't believe that door sticker decoder in the articles above to be entirely accurate. It says the T code is from Rangers only but I think that is incorrect... A T code transmission should be an AOD or AODE, one of the two.
