Tires

I have a 2004 superduty. The tires that are on it now are 275/65R18's. I want to go to a 275/70R18. Anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at Goodyears Silent Armor, but the reviews are aweful. Any thoughts?

I just put the GoodYear Wrangel Silent Armours on my truck a month ago. I like them. Nice smooth ride..look good, nice tread pattern. They are much better then the Pierelli Scorpions that came on the truck.

Those are what I am thinking of getting, but I saw some really bad reviews on them about short lived treads?

I just put some BFG A/T KO'S 295/75R16's on my 03 and so far I love them. Much better than the firestones I had on there. Now I'm waiting on my Bilsteins and I'll be all set for winter!! Try doing a search for those tires. Hard to get much response for tire questions on here since it's been "beat to death". Good luck.

I talked to several people personally that have them on their SuperDuty, Dodge 2500, Chevy 2500...and they all had good things to say about them. So that's why I got them. So far with only 1000 miles on them i can't complain.

The Wrangler gets very poor reviews, but the Silent Armor gets very high reviews. Note the scores at the bottom of teh pages.

I've only seen one guy on this forum unhappy with the Silent Armor Prograde tires, he says he had 4 blowouts. We all wondered what he was doing to cause 4 blowouts.

I have the Goodyear SA tires on both of my trucks. The one I use for my daily driver and to push snow with in the winter has 20,000 miles on the tires, and the tread still looks brand new!
