Just a short note as a new member. This is a great site! Lots of great information. I just pulled my '53 F100 out of storage to start working on. About 30 years ago, this was my first vehicle and has been out of commision for about 20 years. Way back when I did a lot of work on it. Went through 2 flatheads, a 292, and it ended up with what I think is a 352. I think it is a 56 352. That is what I was told it was back then. I pulled it out of a 64 Ford Galaxie, along with the 4 Speed manual tranny. It has a 4v manifold on it, looks like I need to check the bore and stroke, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised! I'm sure I'll be pinging this group quite often as I progress. Hope to get some pic up.

John, Look at the heads and post the numbers that are in the middle. Also run a white jacketed wire in one of the sparkplug holes with a sharpie resting on the manifold and against the wire, while someone rotates the engiine with a socket on one of the pully nuts. The FE wasn't introduced until 58, and I suspect you have the 64 engine and with the stroke numbers, we could tell if you have a 390. :-)
