I'm hoping someone can help. I'm painting the rims on my 97 ford f-450. Does anyone know of an aftermarket gray spray paint that will match the OEM color. I've tried a couple brands but they are off-color enough to look funny. Thanks for your help.
I think the color we're looking for is Ford's Argent Silver, its available in spray cans from Ford, and I have found it at car shows too, it has a tiny bit of metallic in it, and it is the right shade to use on Ford wheels, and painted step bumpers.
I can never spit out "argent" when I need to! I know this, have known for years, that the color was called that. But as I said, never can remember that when I need to. Didn't they use this color on grill inserts and around the lights too? I bought a can of argent at walmart a few years back and redid the grill on our explorer we used to have, it looked fantastic.
