Mismatched head question

Can someone tell me the differences if any in my heads that are currently on this truck? I have C7AE-A for the right head and C8AE-H for the left head. I understand these are date codes and one was made in 67 and the other was made in 68. I really hate the thought of tearing this thing apart since it runs soooo good. I have a 1973 truck with a 1966 block....Me6 something something. I have done the dowel trick on it and am confident it is a 390. The engine has been rebuilt and does not have the stock cam in it. But it purrs like a kitty. I don't want to risk damaging anything with the current head setup, so I will replace one or both heads if I need to. Any information here would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Mismatched head question

Mike, Forget about it, the only difference in them from the factory is the year that they were built. I suspect that they both got the same treatment during the rebuild. Find something else to get concerned over. :-)

Except for the year the heads were cast, they are identical. Same chamber sizes, same valves, etc... Relax, and enjoy your ride!
