You can either heat them up with a hair dryer or heat gun (just don't get the paint too hot) or you can park so the sun is shining on the sticker for awhile, then just start peeling slowly from a corner and they should come off without too much effort.
Stick the truck out in sun for few hours.. Go out and just lift up the edge and start pulling.. Mine came off extremely easy with it sitting in 80* for few hours.. These stickers are nothing more then transparent vinyl.. You could very easily remove them and just use GooGone to remove the excess sticky crap... Vinyl doesn't generally trash paint, until someone puts super glue under it.. But don't quote me on it..
If you dont mind spending a little money you can buy a 3m stripe-off wheel at napa or other auto parts stores. It cost around $45 for the wheel with a drill attachment. Thoses stickers will come off in secs with no residue left behind. The wheel is made out of clay.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the heat thing first. 98SVTCobra, That is interesting. Might not be bad to have something like that around the house to de-sticker what my kids put on the fridge. hehehe
If you have a dark color truck and the stickers have been on there for a while, the paint directly unders the sticker may be a little darker because the sun doesn't fade it as quickly as the rest of the truck.
Just go get at an auto body supplier whats called an "eraser" This fits in your drill chuck and those pesky decals are no more and no harm to your finish. Works awesome.
Use a hair dryer if you're not used to working with a real heat gun. They come off pretty easy. Then use alcohol to remove any residual glue left over. Then hit the areas with wax to finish it off. I did mine this way and it looks a lot better. I always thought all that sticker stuff was real tacky! Even with the new Super Duty they have it written all over inside and out. I hate it. Looks tacky... I know what it is I bought it... don't need it written allover the freakin' truck...
