I gotta go with stereo. As much as I'd love the truck to be aesthetically pleasing to me and others, as well as sounding excellent, there's nothing as pleasing as getting inside and being able to hear things in songs you didn't know existed. I'll never own a vehicle without an aftermarket stereo.
Next up would be the engine/tranny swap, then exhaust.
definetly the lift. talk about an attention grabber, not to mention all the little kids that yell "look at the monster truck" from the sidewalk never gets old.
system is definetly close though I hate no having a radio
- posi 9" rear
- posi front
- lift
- 91 ltd crown vic roller cam 302
- in the middle of puttin a 4 speed in it (AODs aint worth the metal they are made out of)
Exhaust here too, easiest way to make power when done correctly.
with 2.5" pipe, dual (true duals) glasspacks @ 12" long no cats, its loud and performs better than most other near stock 302 powered F-150s in my area.
The 302/T-5 swap sure made my day. But I'm still going with a stereo for my absolute favorite. I love romping on the 302...but I love the sound nonetheless.
Taking the topper off of the first truck I ever owned ('79 Toyota) was the smartest thing I ever did. Made lots of noise, leaked like a SOB, and didn't have good sightlines to boot.
I'm working on restoring that one and the topper I have for my '84 F150. I hate 'em in the summer, but toppers are hard to beat when it snows and I go outside to play.
