Ignition Problem with 360

I have a 75 F 100 with a 360 2 barrel.

The truck will start cold and run fine but when you shut it down and let sit a few minutes it will not start back up.

I have checked and it is not getting any fire.

If you let it sit about 20-30 minutes it will start back up.

I have replaced the ingnition control module (Twice), the rotor button, distrbutor cap, plugs, wires, coil, and condensor.

I have not replaced the Stator yet but that is next on my list.

Any ideas?

I am going nuts over this one.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Have you measured the voltage at the coil (12 Volts) when this happens?

Yes!!!

The Stator fixed the problem, I now have fire all of the time.

Thanks for the help.

These stators have a knack for opening up under temperature. A good test is to check for continuity while applying heat with a hair dryer. Glad you found it, sorry for the late post.

Yet another reason why I run a unilite and not a durafart.
