97 Won't Rev

I just got done putting a new fuel pump, 17*HPOP, IPR, and replaced the blue hoses into my 97 F250. Now when the truck idles for more than about 10 seconds it will not rev up immediatly. It takes about 6-10seconds of holding the pedal down to cause the rpms to start coming up. Then once it is over about 1000rpm it runs fine and pulls strong. And if it goes back to idle but only for a few seconds that it still revs up fine.

The is filter bowl is full of fuel. The truck starts quickly with no smoke of any color when running.

If anyone has any ideas on this one please help me out

Have you run it long enough to get all the air out of the fuel & oil systems?...

They say it may take 50 miles or so....

ok, I didn't realize it would take that long. It ran rough for about 5 minutes then got better. But it has only seen about 10 miles so I will give it more time. thank you

Also check your fuel pressure... I was messing around with my FPR and found that I could make the pressure lower and it would act exactly as you said.
