1956 guage resistance stuff
The coolant temp sensor for the computer will be different than for the gauge. No problem, use 2 senders; 1 for the original gauge, another for the brainbox.
I'm not sure about the fuel gauge. Here's what I remember about the various fuel gauge resistances;
1965 and newer GM vehicles---0 (empty) to 90 Ohms (full)
1989 and older Ford and Mopar---75 Ohms (empty) to 10 Ohms (full)
1990 and newer Ford---15 Ohms (empty) to 160 Ohms (full)
Aftermarket---240 Ohms (empty) to 35 Ohms (full)
So basically if you are staying with your original fuel gauge and installing an early Mustang tank and sending unit it should work.
