I soak (spray with garden sprayer ) With used motor oil every once /2 a year My truck has been in salt belt for 2 years and all seams still look great under it. I go to body shops and get used paint thiner to thin oil with (thinner will evaporate and leave oil ) I spray till runs out every where. I di this on all rides I have . And its cheap . Take for ride on dusty road after wards helps to . Good luck

Cold galvanizing paint and some zinc anodes works for me! And I used to drive through brackish water to shore launch my boat every weekend, There were some deep holes along the way too!!(up to bottom of door) Always remember to drive around with the brakes on after launching or else come back to stuck brakes!!!
