Drive-line vibration

I have a 99 Mountaineer with approximately 93,000 miles on it. For a while I have had an occasional vibration as it was changing into one particular gear. Now it has progressed to where it does it every other time at approximately 40 mph. I assume that it is while it is changing into O/D. Any other ideas or is there an easy fix? Or am I looking at a rebuild somewhere down the road?
Thanks,
bdp

That might be torque converter shudder. Has the transmission been serviced? I would first change the oil in the transmission. Use Mercon V.

No it hasn't I know Cottman quoted something like $400 for a flush with a machine, but I didn't want to do that.
