Axle bearings

Well got them out yesterday and could see immediately that the drivers side was toast. Rusty, greasy and wobbly. Sounded like gravel rather than round bearings. Took the axles down to the ship's machine shop to press off and on then back in later today. Out for a test drive and .... WOW! Damn it is so quiet now and I thought it was just sounding like a truck before. This also means my pinion bearing is a-ok...

Good to hear it did you put new axle seals in when you did the bearings.

Of course. I go the all the way when I set about replacing parts.
