What is yours like for power Duncan? I sure do love my 7.3's mileage as it gets 20 on average driving at around 115. But it just turned 200,000 now, so I was thinking about checking out an 08. If I get time I will have to read up more on them i guess.
At 200,000 kms your truck is just getting broke in preppy, it`s not an import.......
I`m still sitting at 96,000 kms on the 05 F350, not quite broke in yet.
Power is outstanding. I took an 04 for a test drive and the power seems to be about the same. Its just a different type of power if that makes sense, than a gasser. The turbos wind up and it just goes. Can't wait to start pulling with it.
I cant quite remember Morris, how many kms did your PSD have on it when you got it?
About 2,000 less....
It`s my Sunday driver!
The 6.0 is quite different from a gasser, hook up a 10,000 lb trailer on it and you don`t even know it`s behind you.
I dont think the 6.4 has any more power than the 6.0 because its pushing through that particulate filter and that robs any extra power it makes over the 6.0 but its much more refined (actually VERY much more refined). The turbo lag is greatly improved, the truck is so quiet inside, and I think lots of the areas where the 6.0 had problems have been improved upon. I would buy one without hesitation!!
However, the red colored side vent just doesnt seem to match anything so I would replace it with the aftermarket chrome piece. Also, my wish list also included the new truck to be more like the Tonka concept ...... oh well --> they are quite alright the way Ford made 'em.
Like the others have stated - any of the diesels are so very nice to tow with but they are expensive so everyone has to weigh out their priorities.

naa...chuck priorities out the window. you really didn't need a house anyway...
i was chatting with a tradesman in town the other day that has 2 or 3 6.0 litre SD's, and he just loves them. he says his '05 s'crew dually gets in the 18-20 mark, and his '07 ext cab shrt box is in the 15 range and getting better. he had a late '03 with one of the first 6's and never had a hitch with it.
