352 Electronic Upgrade

I have a '65 F100 with a 352 and will be upgrading from a Mallory dual points to electronic ignition. Here's the plan:

-Swap in a Pertronix Ignitor and keep the distributor.
-Replace the Accel coil with a Blaster II coil.
-Install an MSD 6A box.
-Replace Autolite 7.5 wires with Accel 300+, 8.8 wires.
-Replace Autolite 45 plugs (35 gap) with Autolite 45 Platinum Pro plugs.

The questions that I have are: What gap should the new plugs be? And, considering the above set-up, would an MSD 6A box be advantageous?

(The truck is a 4spd with a General Kinetics Cam and 3.91 gears). Thanks.

It may matter that I forgot to mention that the truck has headers, dual exhaust and tri-power carburation.

Sounds as though you've got a good handle on the situation. I've used Autolites for years but recently switched to NGK's. It's my opinion that Allied Signal is playing games similar to Champion in order to gain market share. Ie. they are substituting gimmicks for real engineering. Do we really need 2-3 different lines of platinum plugs, or Champion's "truck plugs", like the packaging makes a difference. Take a look at the materials NGK uses. They are much higher quality. Gap them at .044" to begin. You can experiment latter with wider gaps if you must. You'll like 'em. IMO
