Axle Temps
What temperature should my 7.5" axle be running. 2.3L 2wd, 4.56 gears,33"tires, trac lock with 2 extra friction packs. Running 85w90 with 5oz friction modifier. Does 130F on cover sound right after about 1hour driving at 70mph? Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

If it is well within the specs of the oil you have then you should be okay!! When the oil starts overheating and not protecting then you have trouble!!! You really need to post ambient temp too for a good analysis Because on a 95 degree day 130 is only 35 degrees above that so it's all relative!!!
