I went to powerstroke.com and purchased my brakes, since then, my son works at O'Rielly, powerstroke sold the rotors for $95 each, and that was a deal most of the stealership wants $125 for the rotor, O'Rielly wants $68 for the HD ver.
Loaded calipers cost about $100 at O'Rielly and $145 at the Powerstroke, so there you have it, I would have saved more, because of the employee discount. I spent over $700 for the fronts and about $400 for the rears, I still need a whippie cushion to seat down on. Now I know the difference, I'd go with the after market ones.
Be very carefull in what brakes you choose for these trucks. OEM brakes ive found to last to 100k sometimes, (most of our trucks did) First set of brakes I got were the ones I usually put on, (carquest medium grades, as the high grades are known as rotor eaters) And they didnt last 30k, which put me in total shock. So now Ive been putting OEM pads on, if I was going to look at aftermarket, I would buy the cryoed powerslot rotors, with either OEM pads, or the ones they recomend for them. Since they are supposed to be "warp proof". If you go to your dealer and ask them about brake pads, you must say OEM pads, because they too have aftermarket non OEM parts. Thats just my oppinion.
