There is no 'best price' anymore. The corporation that owns Edge (and many others), have price fixed their products. Every retailer has to sell it for the same price. With that said, definitely check out the FTE sponsors. I think I bought mine from Discount Power Parts.
Price fixing is illegal. What they did was set a minimum price so the parts *****s could cripple their small dealers. It's a very nice thing in reality, it allows the small guy to compete. On the otherside, they setup a minimum dealer price too. There is just enough margin where they are worth selling.
The main Idea is your local shop is now competitive in price with the online stores.
If you choose the Edge, make it quick, the Edge Evo currently has a $50.00 rebate. I installed mine and love it. On my truck, it made a noticible difference. Of couse, I hade to run all 3 levels to "feel" them out. Level three was a very noticible difference in torque and power. Level 2 has a good amount of torque to it. I did try and map out some custom shift points and the truck did not like that. It would not shift and until it was at the top of the RPM range. I think I went alittle overboard. I have since got all the "new toy" smell out of my blood on it and have settled for level 2 currently. I can still run 87 octane, it shifts nice and it appears to have more torque. The only thing I don't like is they no longer come in differnt colors. You can only get black on the housing. If you have another color, you must paint it yourself. Other than that, it works great.

You mean the actual edge is black or the piece of plastic that attaches it to the dash only comes in black?

I believe autometer made the pods for them and they recently dropped all of their painting. Good news is, you can pick up a vinyl die or SEMs paint and make it match. SEMs, VHT, and several companies have paint that will work, plus Ford has some that are extremely close matches to OE.
