torque converter?
<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I have a 01 ford ranger with a 4.0. In the morning if it's below 65 degrees my truck won't shift in to overdrive, untill I drive about a mile down the road. Once the truck is warm, when I come to a complete stop and go to take off, at about 1300 rpms the whole truck jerks violently. when Im driving on the highway if I get out of the gas, and then get back in to it. The RPM'S will go up to about half way between where they where in overdrive, and where they would be out of overdrive. Any Ideas?
