Its so when tilt seat forward the armrest comes up buy self also supports the arm .. Fallow it it hooks to seat base .You can unhook it there or on armrest (lower is easier) I just pay attention to where it goes . Arm rest wount work right if on wrong . (sag or not go up ).
Good luck I put cheapie seat cover on drivers side 1 a year as I work construction and trash em. Have a good one
