Got My DashHawk

I got my DashHawk Friday for my truck and with the help of riggz got it updated to the latest software.
What sucks is I can not do anything with it. I just had back surgery this week and they say driving is off limits for at least 1 month maybe 2. Its killing me.

I want to play

Greg

Unhappy

I had 2 herniated disks in my lumbar spine that created so much pain that I had to be admitted to the hospital for pain management. Right now they tell me it is very easy to re-herniate them, at least for the next 4 to 8 weeks.

Ouch! I hope you heal quickly and properly. I hear a lot of horror stories from people who've had surgery on backs or knees to try and fix their pains only to have it worse afterwards.

Recovery is long and I intened to follow my doctors orders to the letter, as hard as that may be. I have heard and read the same stories. I want my story to be different. The first 4 to 8 weeks are the most critical I was told by my doctor.

Smart man. My buddy didn't take it easy long enough and he's back where he started. By all means listen to the doc.

That's my plan. I figure I will be able to drive by end of October or begining of November. I just loaded Matt's new Aggressive Street Econemy and have not got to play much.

gvandyke,
I had back surgery about 5 years ago. Herniated, fragmented disk, lumbar as well. You are wise to follow Dr's orders and take it easy, give yourself time to heal. I did and have been pretty much pain free since that time. Good luck!

slammedsi,

I have not had the chance to use the DashHawk yet. I had a Quadzilla Commander on order and delivery got pushed back several times. I was told Quadzilla was getting a new harness supplier and that was causing the delay.
Got tired of waiting!

I am really pleased with my Dashhawk. The guys running the program are pretty good to work with as well. I have been working with them as a beta tester for a while now (as are Riggz and 07Dually, and maybe a couple others). They are continuing to work on updates to add more features. Sometimes they get the software a little mixed up when they do a major update, which is what they are dealing with right now. It looks like they are on the right track, and hope to have it all fixed back up soon. Once they get that figured out I am going to try to get them to work on add on sensors for fuel and oil pressure.
