Truck Bed Schematics

Help me out, guys!! Where can I find the assembly schematics or technical schematics for the back half and truck bed of my '07 F250 Superduty? A diagram would be perfect!! I'm looking to alter the construction of my truck bed but first I need to know how it is put together. Thank you!!

I can get you a parts schematic, but that will only show you what panels you can buy for repairs. They are fairly basic. The outer skin is pinch welded to the inner pannel and that outer/inner assembly is welded to the front pannel and the floor. Seam sealer is used along the seams to cover the gaps, somethimes up to 1/2". The floor has the rear body pannel welded to the bottom and the cross members too.

How are you planning on making a mod? What do you want your outcome to be?

Hi Gwiz -

It does sound pretty simple. I was just trying to get my brain around the overall construction. As for what I'm planning to do, I've been sworn to secrecy as the application is still patent pending. We're going to use my truck as the guniea pig. Worse comes to worse, we just start taking it apart and go from there!! :-) Thank you for your help!!

this just sounds a little iffy to me. someone with 2 posts wont tell what they want to do because its patent pending? if thats the case, then what ever he is doing with the deconstruction and alterations of the body should be left to someone who already knows body work. this guy doesn't sound like he knows what he's doing. probably some backyard inventor who has the best thing since sliced bread. lol...

I think MikeDeason is back as a girl this time trying to cut the ridgeline trunk in the truck bed.
