Question lower rad hose

I have a '94 f150 with a 300I6 and have been having problems with my lower rad hose touching the serp. belt. i have replaced the hose once about a month ago and it is already on the verge of wearing through, and I've also shredded 3 belts in the last 3 weeks. i think the belts are shredding because the pulley on the tensioner is a little bit out of square so i'm installing a new tensionerbut the hose will still be rubbing. has anyone encountered this problem before and if so how can I fix it?

I just bought one today. My parts guy asked me if I had factory or dealer A/C. I never had A/C so that opened up option #3. If your parts guy isn't asking you those questions then odds are you're getting that wrong hose. How much could a hose be at the dealer? Can't be any more than three from the parts store.

one quick fix would be to cut the hose and install a section of exhaust pipe and clamp it. that way when it does chaff it will take longer to cut through the steel .
used this method on several large highway trucks that had cut hoses on the side of the road. some stayed that way others had the hose replaced.
