Locally such tilt columns run $125-150 in good condition IF you can find one. Not terribly complicated to swap one out. If you don't believe you can, a more mechanically inclined buddy likely could be bribed into it. Unless you just insist on getting charged a couple hundred bucks at a repair shop.
You should be able to use one from a 87-92 truck as well. The turn signal switch is the same, even if one has cruise control, they will both have the same plugs. I used a turn signal switch from a 90' ford with CC in my 85 that doesn't have CC and all the wires were the same color and position. The column looked identical as well. Not totally sure about the ignition plug, but you could most likely swap them if they are different since they unbolt from the column.
