remove the passenger door switch, swap it to the driver side and see if the problem moves, if not it's wiring, if it does then it's the switch from the drivers side.
Welcome to FTE Adam. In case you don't know, that door switch is going to be the small black push-button type switch on the forward side of your door jam about 1/3 to 1/2 up from the bottom.
The dome light switch on the driver sound door jam that is open and closed when you acutate the door can get oxidized and become intermittant or not work at all. It can, as handsomerob stated be shotout and broken also. Take some electronic contact cleaner and use the tube nozzle to spray into the switch, push it in and out a few times....this may sove the problem. If not try removing the switch and cleaning it. Use Rob's suggestion and swap out the passenger side switch to check wiring, if your switch is bad, go to the junkyard and pickup a pass side one to replace with as that is the least used.

I checked it out. Seems the driver side never had the switch installed. Found it on the passenger side, but the driver side doesn't even have a hole to put one in. also truck was assembled in Canada.
On the drivers side in my 1993 F150 the switch is different. It is located on the frame where the door latches. It is covered by a rubber boot and has 1 screw IIRC holding it in.
My 1992 has the same type of switch as Wingman's 1993. When I bought my truck the switch was missing, just had the connectors dangling out of the hole. New rubber booted switch was $20.00 from local Ford dealership.
