What is this?

On the passenger side of the 5.8L EFI there are four metal lines that come off the engine from above the exhaust manifold. I'm assuming they are fuel lines. They go up to a horizontal manifold and from there to a vertical pipe. The hose from this pipe is gone and it feels like exaust coming out the hole. Can someone clarify what this is?

Thanks. That would explain the exhaust coming out the pipe.

part of the air injection sys.
do you still have the air pump hooked up
most people remove it and plug the holes in the manifold
there is another one on the other exh. manifold

That sounds like a plan. I looked into fixing the system but if it doesn't do much or add to the performance I'll get rid of it. Anybody know where you can get the threaded plugs for the manifold? I guess a correctly threaded bolt would do.
