Floor shifter
I have an 85 F250 4x4. It was an automatic before. But the previous owner converted it over to a standard. Well the clutch is shot and I want to put it back as a auto. I found a used C6 for it. My question is has anyone delt with aftermarket floor shifters? I really don't want to mess with trying to find a donor truck to get the linkage out of. Is there any to stay away from or to look for?

Any of them will work, but I have to admit the one I had with the reverse lock-out(drag racing type) was a real pain to get into gear. You had to fiddle with the little shift interlock everytime you went to reverse. Plus with a truck, you will have to make some sort of console, unless you get a shifter with a tall handle for a streetrod. The streetrod shifters are nice, but expensive. The cheap drap racing shifters are cable operated, but they are too short if you mount them in the floor of a pickup, so the console will boost it up where you can reach it.

I have a B&M mega shifter(gallery), it looks awesome but was a pain to install. Definetly go with the truck megashifter, it has an adjustable mounting base that allows you to raise the height and mount it on the sloped floor. With my mega shifter I had to space the back up about 2" to get it comfortable and even then it sits a little low. But if you go with the truck megashifter it should sit at a better height.
